How and When to Use Remote Manager

Remote Manager is arguably the most unique and useful feature of MagicINFO. It allows you to have full visibility and control of every compatible device on your network.

“Full visibility and control” – what does that mean?

It means you can see exactly what your audience is seeing on your screen, from anywhere with an internet connection, in real time. If there are any mistakes on your content, or your screen is setup incorrectly, you will see it straight away.

Not only can you see it, but you can actually fix it in real time too using the Virtual Remote. This means that you can control any screen in your network, anywhere in the world, as if you were physically standing in front of it with a remote in your hand. So, as long as you have a network connection, you can fix almost any issue without having to send an engineer on site.

Below is a screenshot of the Remote Manager feature showing the live view of the screen on the left and the Virtual Remote on the right.

So when should you use it? If you are running MagicINFO Unified or Premium licenses, you should absolutely be checking your devices using Remote Manager to check content is displaying as you’d expect. If you have a MagicINFO Cloud subscription, your provider should be doing this on your behalf too and alert you to any obvious errors.

Although Remote Manager is a feature of MagicINFO, it can also be used as a standalone product. So, if you are already using a content management solution that is not MagicINFO, you can still take advantage.

Remote Manager can site alongside your existing CMS. Whatever that CMS may be and however it is set up, if you are running Samsung system-on-chip displays then Remote Manager is a low-cost, effective way to have more visibility and control of your network.
